USES
This medication is used to relieve the pain and redness caused by canker sores.
HOW TO USE
Apply a thin layer of the medication to the affected
area as soon as possible after noticing the ulcer. Generally the
drug is used four times daily. It is best used after
brushing/flossing following meals and at bedtime.
With gentle pressure, dab the paste onto each ulcer in the
mouth with a fingertip. Continue use until the ulcer heals.
Healing or pain control should occur within 10 days. If not,
contact your dentist.
Wash hands immediately after applying the medication.
SIDE EFFECTS
Pain, stinging or burning in the affected area of
the mouth may occur. If these persist or worsen, notify your
doctor promptly.
Very unlikely but report immediately: rash, severe mouth
irritation, nausea, diarrhea.
If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your
doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS
Before using this drug, tell your doctor your
medical history, including: allergies (especially drug
allergies).
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant before using this
medication.
It is not known if this drug is excreted into breast milk.
Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS
Tell your doctor of all nonprescription or
prescription medication you may use.
Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist
approval.
OVERDOSE
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison
control center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may
be harmful if swallowed. Symptoms of overdose may include
diarrhea and vomiting.
NOTES
Do not share this medication with others.
MISSED DOSE
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember.
If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and
resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to
catch up.
STORAGE
Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F
(15-30 degrees C) away from sunlight and moisture.
